New FDA Rule on Beer

New FDA Rule on Beer

Hadn't heard about this one. Shouldn't impact local places, since they don't meet the 20 unit threshold.

What about Granite City? Not necessarily local, but they have quite a few locations.

The FDA rule applies to all restaurants that have 20 or more locations nationwide, so chain restaurants mainly. I would think Granite City would fall under that umbrella. Going to make it more difficult for small independent breweries who want to have their beers on tap at places like Red Robin or Famous Daves that have a fair amount of craft on tap. It sounds like the breweries will be the ones responsible for providing the nutritional info.

Hm. Seems that President "De-regulation" Trump isn't doing enough of what he promised. Nutrition information has never been required on alcohol, only "food", before.
